An artwork made for the Feast of Yom Teruah (Leviticus 23:23-25) which means "Day of Blowing." While many people believe that the common shofar (ram's horn) is blown on this day, I believe that it was the two silver trumpets (Numbers 10:1-10) that were to be blown, as was commanded. The ram's horn seems more for the common use, not the priestly use. In the artwork, these Trumpets are in front of the prophesied Temple of Ezekiel. This year, Yom Teruah will take place on the Gregorian date of 9.21.2017.
The Trumpets in the Tanakh often correlate to:
- Coronation of a king
- Warning of judgment
- Announcing that God will do something great
- Victory
